"Whirly" captures the spinning, restless energy that characterizes much of Taxali's practice, translated into a handcrafted wooden form. The toy series connects to Taxali's founding of Chump Toys, his own designer toy company. Taxali has designed four stamps for Canada Post and coins for the Royal Canadian Mint. This designer art toy is signed by the artist upon request. The 12" x 5.25" x 3" wooden figure captures the artist's love of mechanical movement and nostalgic toy design.
