Gary Taxali was part of the inaugural NXNE Art visual arts programming during the North by Northeast festival, June 10-16, 2013 in Toronto. For the "We Declare the World as Our Canvas" series, six street artists with different styles created works while spectators watched. Taxali produced a piece at 585 King West (John Steinberg and Associates) at the corner of King and Portland streets, transforming construction zones with street art alongside Ron English and other artists.
