Taxali presented "The Up-N-Down Show" at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles, a solo exhibition whose title captured the emotional oscillations woven through his imagery. The show marked his third major solo presentation at Billy Shire's pioneering gallery, deepening the relationship between Taxali's vintage-inflected pop art and the institution that helped define an entire movement in contemporary visual culture.
